Job Description


Panda is currently seeking a full-time Project Manager with at least 2 years of work experience to join Panda's North American team, with a focus to provide the highest quality manufacturing services to our customers throughout the world.


This is a fully remote position, with occasional work travel when it becomes safe to do so. While we expect travel to be part of the job requirements again in the future, the health and well-being of our team is a top priority, and our basic travel policy during the pandemic has been not to require travel for any employees who are uncomfortable doing so. If you are granted an interview for this position, we will discuss your comfort level with traveling for work at that time.


The Project Manager position encompasses the following major areas of responsibility:


1. Project Management


  • Guiding clients through the Panda production process (design verification, pre-production, mass production, shipping, and follow up)
  • Working with our overseas team to ensure that games are produced at the highest quality and on schedule
  • Keeping track of multiple projects and schedules
  • Managing customer expectations and sending regular status updates
  • Proactively identifying potential roadblocks in production so that solutions can be implemented in advance
  • Using customer feedback to improve and streamline production processes


2. Business Development


  • Building relationships with new and existing clients
  • Handling inbound sales leads and providing excellent customer service
  • Consulting with clients on component/production options and preparing quotations
  • Developing outbound sales strategies with the management team


3. General Initiatives


  • Participating in various company-wide initiatives
  • Actively monitoring industry trends to support Panda’s strategic decision making for continued growth
  • Collaborating on marketing and sales strategies  


Attributes and Experience

Mandatory Requirements:


  • English fluency. Do not apply for this position if you are not fluent in writing, reading, and speaking English.
  • Ability to travel internationally for at least 4 weeks per year, including to Canada, the USA, the EU, the UK, Hong Kong, and China. Do not apply for this position if you have any visa or passport issues that would prevent you from traveling to the locations listed.
  • Access to a private and professional home office setup for video conference calls
  • Deep and sincere passion for the tabletop games industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience (self-employment counts)


An ideal candidate will also have many of the following attributes:


  • Tabletop industry experience (either paid or unpaid)
  • Passion for sales and a minimum of 1 year sales experience, including experience growing and managing a client base.
  • Passion for and knowledge of Role Playing Games
  • Additional language abilities beyond English
  • Experience using Project Management software, such as Asana, Smartsheets, Notion, Microsoft Project, or similar. 
  • Highly effective communicator
  • Able to manage high work volume with quick response times
  • Natural relationship builder and energetic team player with high social intelligence
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, resourceful, and detail oriented
  • Technologically savvy and adept at remote work
  • University / College education
  • Flexible with work hours, as this role involves working with clients and teammates around the world
  • A love for Pandas

Position Details


Job Location: Work remotely (from home office), with occasional business travel. We prefer candidates who live in North America, but will consider candidates from anywhere in the world.

Active Tabletop Publishers


Panda is happy to hire people with tabletop industry experience, including active game designers who license their designs to publishers. However, Panda does not hire people who own tabletop game publishing companies and who actively publish tabletop games. If you currently own a tabletop game publishing company and actively publish games, you would need to divest yourself of that business or cease publishing games prior to starting work with Panda.
